Etsy orders to the US use Delivery Duty Paid

From 9 July 2026, Etsy's Shipping Policy (House Rules), clause E, requires a Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) shipping method for orders shipped to the United States, so buyers are not charged import duties, taxes, or other fees after purchase. The Seller Handbook says the same for any seller shipping from outside the United States to a US buyer. It is not limited by country.

Etsy DDP carrier rows for EU countries

Etsy's Help article lists examples of recommended third-party shipping services and commonly used DDP carriers. The EU rows below are Etsy's examples, checked 18 October 2026. They are not a requirement to use those carriers.

UNCONFIRMED

US IEEPA tariff rates

This site does not publish US tariff rates. The check on 2026-10-17 did not confirm the current status of IEEPA country tariffs. A Federal Register notice of 5 October 2026, titled Court-Ordered Refunds Under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act Worksheet, shows IEEPA tariffs are in litigation or refunds. No primary URL for that notice was recorded. Royal Mail's Click & Drop page still describes IEEPA country-based tariffs.

UNCONFIRMED

EU seller shipping to an EU buyer

An EU seller shipping to a buyer in another EU country is intra-EU. The notes checked on 2026-10-17 do not say, in those words, that the €3 duty and the Union handling fee do not apply. The fee's checked scope is distance-sold goods from outside the EU. The €3 charge is a customs duty on low-value consignments. Treat the intra-EU conclusion as unconfirmed and read the Commission text.
