Methodology
Sources
Primary sources only: the EU Commission, national customs, US Customs and Border Protection, Etsy, Shopify, and eBay help, and carriers. A secondary page is used only to find a primary source, and it is labelled secondary.
Daily check
A GitHub Actions workflow fetches the tracked pages every day at 05:30 UTC and, on Mondays, the weekly list. A changed hash opens an issue labelled source-changed. A failed fetch is not treated as "no change".Source-watch workflow.
Status labels
- VERIFIED — the statement was checked against a primary source on the last-checked date.
- EXPECTED — the amount or the mechanism is checked, and the start date is not fixed in the Official Journal.
- CONFLICT — the sources disagree, or one official page says two things. Both are shown.
- UNCONFIRMED — not established against a primary source. Not stated as a rule.
Conflicts and corrections
A conflict stays on the page, with both statements and the badge, until a later check of the primary source resolves it. Corrections are edits to the rule data after that check. The workflow's hash log is CHANGES.md in the repository. This page does not invent a separate corrections count.
Tracked sources
Thirty daily sources. Last listed 2026-10-17. The weekly list is a separate file and is not this table.
